The Mexican Tetra is a blind cave fish that lives in wells and small lakes. They grow to be three to five inches. The female lays about seventy eggs. their fins are very sensitive to vibrations and without any eye they find their food. They eat plants and feed off the bottom. They travel in schools and are carnivorous and omnivorous.
