Background Information:

The Pick-a-Pet iAdventure asks children to pretend that they will get a pet.  They need to think about the new pet in terms of whether it will live indoors or outdoors and what size it will be.  After these decisions have been made, the children have to determine what the name of the pet will be, where it will live (in a fence or cage, indoors or outdoors, in a dog house, etc.) and how to take care of it.
The children will learn that pets can be placed in two general categories, indoor and outdoor. Then the pets are divided into groups by their size.
